… for these Thinking Blogger Awards! Wow, another one just came in for ReadingWritingLiving from Suzanne at Gaijin Mama. I am so flattered, really. Thank you!!

And it sends me back to my Bloglines list to ponder over who I can bestow this award on. It seems that many of my favorite bloggers are receiving multiple nominations, which is fantastic, but I think this time I am going to award these five Thinking Blogger Awards to blogs which have never been nominated (yet; may they be the first of many).

  1. My Little Mochi thinks of making some of the cutest things I have ever seen. People, I could never manage to make this sort of adorable stuff, but she is constantly churning it out and all I can do is sit here and go, “Awwww”!
  2. Fight In the Dog is a blog that will probably only make sense to about 1% of my readership, but it is a blog that I visit every single day. This blog is devoted to lightweight women’s rowing (how’s that for a niche?) which is an inspiring, mighty sport that has changed my daughter’s life in ways I cannot even describe. Fight In the Dog provides an invaluable public service and champions an area of women’s and girls’ athletics that is often overlooked and underappreciated. Go, Dog, Go!
  3. Gearability is also what I consider a public-service blog, and should be of great interest to my Sandwich Generation or Special Needs Mama readers. It is a veritable cornucopia of advice, reflections and product recommendations for people with various kinds of disabilities and the people who love them.
  4. The only reason that you probably aren’t familiar with Feed Your Loves (yet) is that it is a relatively new blog. It’s about love, food, family and writing, some of the most enticing topics I can think of. Wonderful recipes included.
  5. Green Fertility is about 500x healthier than I am. She’s a great writer and has written a ton of blog posts about not just fertility, but health and wellness for our bodies and the earth. A great resource for everything from organic blue jeans to healthy candles to fertility tips for men.

Okay, nominees, it is your turn to pass the torch now!thinkingblogger.jpg
The participation rules are simple:

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post AND to the Thinking Blogger Award site so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote.
