I didn’t discover Madeleine L’Engle until I was in college. But I loved her work; it moved me and gave me the sense that somebody out there knew that young people were capable of deep thought and spirituality. This one was one of my favorites.

You know, I never read her books – odd, because many of the authors I read were of her generation – but my son absolutely loved them. It’s interesting to read that they touch people on a spiritual level, because that’s exactly what I would expect P to love reading.
I know he has several on his bookshelf, which I’m going to find and read.
