Sarah Palin’s speech really put me over the edge last night. Sneering at “community organizing” like it is something that smells bad. Lying, nasty, sarcastic, ignorant (and dangerously appealing, to those with Little Brain) woman. It gave me a bad, bad stomach ache. I’ve been reading political blogs and websites all morning and my head is spinning. I am so distraught over this election I don’t know what to do. I guess the only thing TO do (other than send Obama as much $$ as possible) is to go become a community organizer!
I’ve been reading a lot on Palin at a great site written by an Alaskan insider called Mudflats. Check it out.
The Northern California Obama headquarters opens tonight and instead of standing around wringing my hands, I am going to be there. I’ve got to DO SOMETHING.

YAY!!!! If Palin’s snark pisses off just one person (you!) and gives them the inspiration to get involved in their own community, then at least something good came out of all that meanness.

Thanks for the link to Mudflats — very interesting.
I was surprised at how little substance and how much snark filled Palin’s speech. I don’t see how she could have emphasized her inexperience more effectively: The delivery was great, the content silly. Kind of like a junior high school election speech — or something you’d deliver at a beauty pageant.
This is what we need a heartbeat away from the presidency?

You’re right. Signing a check is not going to be enough. Thanks for the kick in the pants.

I hear she’s being referred to as “Caribou Barbie” now.
The way I see it, with this election we have the chance to make history, or to repeat it.
