Laundry. Lots and lots of laundry! It took the industrial strength of several Jumbo machines at Parktowne Laundry, but the nine-plus loads got done. I didn’t mind. It was a labor of love. Also, we bought lots and lots of winter clothing, because baby, it’s cold over there. Very cold. We ate some very yummy Himalayan food, and some Brazilian food with her buddies, and we sold our prized football game tickets because it was SO VERY COLD and we also are none of us big fans of football. We got to hang out with beloved relatives whom we now get to see a lot more often, due to their proximity to her school. I met up with the wonderful
Gail Konop Baker at a nifty feminist bookstore and she signed a couple of her books for me. The time went by way too quickly. But she will be home in a mere eight days. Hooray!

Wowee! I think it’s awesome that Molly has 9 laundry loads worth of clothes! A girl after my own heart.
I am sooo glad you had a good visit. Now: welcome back to the bay area mid-November heat wave!

I just had a future flash of LN (now 3 years old) in college and doing this exact same thing with/for her. Sniff, sniff.
Thank you for the photos! Love the daughter-in-dryer one.

Nothing like a freshly laundered teenager! At least she didn’t ship all her dirty duds home.

She looks so happy. I bet she was thrilled to be with you. And get clean clothes.

Oh, Susan, I wish my mom would come and do our laundry! She and my mother-in-law did their fair share after our babies were born, but I guess at 38, even with two 1.5 year olds, I can’t really expect that treatment. But I envy your daughter; I really do . . .
Are you NaNoWriMo-ing this year?

Oh wow. I should have told you to tell Gail Konop Baker that her book rocks.
